Solution skittle Jan 9, 2015 Full screen mode exists for its purpose: Full Screen You can't go about mixing one desktop with another inside a VM! At most you can run it in windowed mode and get this similar effect. Or simply shift to a different workspace.

It can be done for Windows applications: https://nowhere.dk/articles/running-windows-applications-natively-with-seamlessrdp but I don't think it can for other guest OSs.
