Specs are as follows
AMD FX-4350 (ofc)
GTX 970
CS 850M
M5 A97 LE R2.0 MOBO
8gb ram

I want to OC because I am hitting bottlenecks on my cpu during demanding games. Gpu usage is only like 60% but framerates are only like 20-30. Never overclocked before and I don't know what I'm doing.

Solution
Before you overclock or even thing about it do some research, these should help. Read the AMD tuning guide first then watch the video and look over the last link. Depending on your Display and game settings you will have issue in some titles with any AMD CPU, if your trying to run 1080p and Max settings no AMD CPU will handle it in all games. That Motherboard uses a 4+2 phase VRM power design so your not going to get a really high overclock with it, 4.5ghz is about what most people get with any FX chip on that board which isn't going to help you much. If your using a board with a 8+2 phase VRM power design then 5ghz is fairly easy to do or even higher. GA-990FX-UD7 and Asus Sabertooth 990FX R2.0 are examples of boards with a 8+2 phase...

Also consider CPU cooling, if your using a Stock Cooler replace it before you start they are not that great for overclocking, any of the Cool Master Hyper will work great or even a closed Loop budget water cooler will do.
