how to overclock an intel atom n475

Solution

As setfsb does not support your PLL, then there is literally no way to overclock your processor. Well, even if you get to overclock it, which is practically not possible, you would not get a huge ton of improvements over your current clock. So leave this, n stay with your stock clocks.

Well, I suggest you not to do this because of the consequences you might suffer later. This is because of the complexity it involves as well as overheating of the CPU n ultimately a painful DEATH !

But if you are still desperate, then post back. I might help you.

Well, I was also going to ask you the same you did that is using SETFSB. It supports a large amount of motherboards. But the problem is that you need to know the correct PLL for your motherboard, otherwise it wont work at all. like what happened with you.
If you can tell me the the model no of your motherboard as well as the company, then i will try to find it out for you.

PS: If you can open up your laptop, then you can see the PLL which is printed on an IC near CPU. You can use this guide to find out yours : http://www.dslreports.com/faq/2403

Well, in the meantime, you can do this too ! ( TRAIL N ERROR ) also run hwmonitor and cpuz before doing this so as to know the temperature as well as the realtime clocks of cpu.

1. Select the first PLL in the drop down list.
2. Press "getfsb", if you get no error and your CPU frequency is detected correctly then do step 3. Otherwise try step 5.

3. Hit "setfsb" and see what happens, if the system doesn't lock up then go to step 4, otherwise step 5.
4. Move the top slider a tiny bit, then hit setfsb again. Use CPUz to check if the overclock/underclock worked. If not then see step 5.

5. Pick the next available PLL in setfsb and start from step 1.

Download Sandra SI sotware from this link : http://www.sisoftware.co.uk//?d=dload&f=sware_dl_3264&l=en&a=
install it, open it with admin privileges.
then go to the hardware section, then double click on motherboard section. Wait for a while until the new page loads, find " SYSTEM CLOCK GENERATOR " in it and see your pll.

after all this, If you cannot find your pll in the setfsb software, then you're out of luck. your atom processor can't be overclocked !

Hey !!!!!There is no system clock generator under motherboard but i found my pll by looking inside my laptop, but setfsb does not support it.I even tried to overclock it in the bios but there is no advanced tab in the bios to perform the overclocking
