Hello,

I'm new at overclock. So I used the AISuite to overclock my processor. But there are 2 problems.
1. The processor is running pretty hot, due the high voltage.
2. All programs are measuring that the CPU is running at 0,80 GHz.That's very annoying.

The CPU is cooled by H100i, so I've the opportunity for high OC's.
Now, which bios settings should I set, en where should I start with OC?

Solution

First of all don't leave voltage on auto and don't use AI suite shit its really a shit. stick to Bios for overclocking .

1. set AI Tweaker on Manual
2. rise CPU core clock like 45-46-47-48-49. whatever level you want to attain.
3.Use sync all cores .
4. start voltage over ride from 1.120 and rise it like 1.130-1.140v when you face a...

4. start voltage over ride from 1.120 and rise it like 1.130-1.140v when you face a crash or no boot thing .
5. When your system boots but crash means more voltage . crash means blue screen or self restart or during stress test .
6. blue screens are normal so don't freak out .
7 don't use prime 95 on Devil's canyon cpus , use XTU or Aida 64 ,
8 if you really wanted to use prime 95 then test it with small FFTs for 20 mints
9. don't exceed 85C temp or 1.35V on this CPU.
10. Remember , sync all cores , baby step increase in voltage , blue screens are normal , don't exceed 85C and 1.35V .
Note: on XTU or Aida 64 do stress test for atleast 1 hour to check stability . use core temp and CPU-Z to monitor your OC.
best of luck

I OC'ed it to:
4,7 GHz @ 1,265 stable 10 minutes prime95.
4,8 GHz @ 1,335 stalble 10 minutes prime95.

The last one is very high, are there any other BIOS settings which I could change to get a lower voltage? And how could I set it to offset or adaptive?
