How to overclock core 2 duo E6300?

How to overclock and which is a suitable graphics card for this processor?

Where did you obtain your OS? Is this from a prebuilt? Those BIOSes frequently aren't generous with overclocking CPUs of this generation and you'll be mainly limited to changing the FSB, which means your gains will be limited.

Get an X6800. This get's you to 2.93GHZ base speed. Get Throttlestop 6.00 and overclock the $h!t out of it. Look for a 1GB DDR5 GTX750. Rock on dude.

That MB supports E6700. The X6800 is an unlocked 2 core 65nm. It should recognize it. The Dell E520 in my sig. officially supports up to Q6700, but The QX6800 runs just fine. The BIOS won't let you OC, but the program I mentioned will.

Basically you will be doing exactly what I did except with 2 cores in stead of 4. I would expect it to run 3.45GHz. 3.72GHz if you're lucky.
if you get that it would be a 100% overclock from what you have now. E6300 is what my E520 came with when new.
Here is an old Dell running 3.72GHz with the X6800. It was an XPS version so it might have a better MB, but you can see what's possible.
