how to overclock core 2 duo e8400

HI I cant overclock my cpu
when I try the pc turn off and back on 3 times then it shows the overclock failed and if I dont reset the default settings the same will happen the pc still working well but no oc
specs: cpu: core 2 duo e8400 3.0 ghz mainboard:msi p41-c33 ddr3 ram:2*2gb Dram frequency:534mhz fsb: 5:8 cl: 7.0 clocks trCD:7clocks trP:7clocks tRPD:20clocks tRFC:86clocks commandrate:2T
I tried 400*9 mhz and 1.325 v and auto and 350*9 still the same my psu is chinese i think its Bbest 400w

The simplest solution is to tapemod an E7500 from 266 fsb to 333fsb. Since you have control of Voltage an E7600 would be even better. 3.83GHz. Them tweak the fsb from there.
