Hey Geeks Out there, i need your help,

1.I am having intel G41 Motherboard (Nov/2011) Lenovo Branding over there and Intel_Pentium_Dual-Core_E5500 2.8ghz 2MB cache Processor,
I need to overclock this, alternate i have E7600 and E8600 too, Kindly Help.

2. I have 4 Sticks of Ram
a. Ramaxel brand 1gb 1066 No idea about Frequacny
b. Dynet brand 2 gb 1333 Mhz
c. Kingston 2 gb 1333 MHZ
d. elixir 4gb 1333mhz
Problem is that When i use E5500 processor then all the 4 rams are working but when i use E7600 or E8600 then only two rams are working that is Ramaxel and Dynet, i.e i left with 3 Gb of ram , help in that case too.

About 10 years ago I had an asus-mb with E8600. only way to overclock it is to raise the FSB. I managed to get it up to 410, resulting in 4100 Mhz of the processor.

Temperatures were OK with an arctic-freezer-air-cooler. I do not remember, if and how much I increased the core-voltage,too.

If this is possible with your MB, I do not know.

But do some googling to get more informations. I am solving most problems or getting answers to my own questions( without need to post them in any forum) by searching in the web for infos.

I did not get any detailled infos about your motherboard. That means, just go into BIOS and check for FSB. if found, try increase from 333 to 350, then , if OK to 370 etc. Check for cpu-voltage in BIOS, and when getting instable, try to increase step by step by about 0.01 volt each. Sorry that I did not keep my old PC with the 8600 for checking my voltage, but more than 10 years ago.

If you do that, keep an eye on cpu-temperature. stability-testing with prim95 and aida64 ( but even if stable, it is not 100%. Last "test" will be your daily work with working and gaming). Good luck.

This usually means BIOS is quite limited.

I would concentrate on maximizing RAM usage.

Your mixture of RAM sticks (1, 2, 4) does not help either. CPUs like their memory to be laid in equally-sized banks.

Bios is limited yes, while using E5500 all the rams are working fine that is tha maximum i was getting is 6GB , But when i am using E8600 only two sticks are working i.e 1gb and 2 it means i have only 3 Gb left now. thanks for your response i'll post relevant images by the 10:00 Pm Tonight.

I have the same cpu and graphics card. Yesterday I overclocked it from 2.8GHz to 3.8GHz and it works PERFECTLY. I tested it in some games and it favors more performance and reability. It willnt cause too much heat or any "fry" problem . Do the same and share ur experience!
