How to overclock my Lenovo Y700's CPU? (i7-6700HQ 2.6 GHz to 3.5 GHz)

I see no option in the BIOS or the Turbo Boost tool, they call this a gaming laptop with a 2.6 GHz CPU. On the Intel website listing the specifications/details of the CPU, it clearly says it's overclock-able upwards to 3.5 GHz and some report going higher, so I ask, how? (Using Windows 10)

I wouldnt advise over clocking a laptop cpu as it usually voids warranty and they run hot even at stock. The overclock thing you read you probably were reading the cpu's turbo boost.

Your 6700HQ simply can't be overclocked. The maximum speed will be 3.5GHz on a single core max. You can probably expect a maximum boost of 3.3GHz on all cores if their all under a heavy load.

Mine is running at 3.5 look in the task manger
