Question how to overclock ram without xmp

Hey. I have 1600 ddr3 ram but by default its 1333. And my problem is that my bios dont have xmp setting. My CPU is i5-4440 3,10 GHZ

Verify the revision of your motherboard and then look in the BIOS settings section of the manual. Look for XMP profile info. Set as desired.

This should get you to your memory's rated speed.

You can also manually set memory settings, but you really shouldn't need to.

Have you previously tried the XMP settings and it failed?

Your ram modules may not have XMP entry in SPD table. Then there will not be XMP option available in BIOS.

But generally this is not important (unless you want to update BIOS version).

Looking at the actual labels on the memory could confirm.
