Im looking for a guide on how to overclock the fsb and ram timings on my pc.

My specs are the following:
athlon x2 6000+
asus m2n32-sli deluxe wireless edition
Evga 8800 gts 320 mb
Corsair pc2-6400 (frequency is 375, and 4-4-4-12 timing)
I have a Zalman heatsink.

Im new to overclocking and I was wondering if anyone could take the time and tell me what I need to look for and how to overclock my computer, especially the ram frequency. From what Ive heard, my frequency should be at 400 since the ram is multiplied by 2.

my guess is that your CPU will not OC very much, most AMD64's are only able to get up to 3.2Ghz. So just FYI. but if you want to OC then look at the OC AMD64 guide in the forum.

Agreed, im running a AMD64 Duel core 6000+ with M2N32-SLI Deluxe, The max im getting out of it is .

216.00 X 15.00= 3.240g, Voltage 1.35 stock value

Anything higher its unstable on my system tried Voltage and different multipliers no good.

Vista 64bit

HT bus cant configure at all or crash

There pretty much Stocked at max it can go, if your looking to overclock a mean system, Invest in Quodcore

HT Multiplier 5.0 x
HT bus frequency 1102.974mhz
CPU multiplier 15.0x
CPU core Frequency 3308.923

Mem bus frequency 882.380 DDR2 Mhz

PCE-E Bus (SSP) SLOT 1: 2875!!!!!!!!!!

Everything is running stable I Had to up the voltage to 1.400v

Im Using Stock Heatsink and fan 40c average

Hi all
i am new to over clocking my system i have just built on a pocket is as follows.

CoolerMaster stacker NVIDIA edition
Zalman fan and temp controler
AMD Athlon 64 x2 6000 Dual core. Fitted with Zalman CNPS7500-ALCU cooler
Asus M2N32_SLI Delux Wireless edition.
8 Gig of OCZ 800Mhz gold edition.
XFX Fatality 9600GSO fitted with zalman VF900-CU
XFI extream gamer sound card...
Vista ultimate 64bit edition.

useing the software that come with the mother board.
in the bios i used the A1 tuning option set to 5 percent and my cpu is now running at 3.165GHz.
verry stable system an looking for an identical graphics card to set my system up in SLI...

this was one simple setting in the bios and resulted in a stable over clock.
not bad for a first overclock....
is there any other way i can squeez any morespeed out of my system....

i can play crysis warhead with no problems
call of duty world at war is exelent. COD 4 plays even better
and race driver grid plays 100%

any advice would be great.

thanks: John

Depending on the type and speed of memory you have...The X2-6000 will do on most broads around 3.3 to 3.5

Try this..depending on memory

Put your FSB 300

CPU Mutiplier X11

HT can leave at 5.0

Memory set to 667mhz...

It'll set to

CPU 3.3ghz

HT- 1500mhz

FSB - 300mhz

Memory - 1000mhz
