How to overlock AMD Athlon 5400+.

Hi all, i would like to overlock this CPU, but i don't know how. And i have STOCK fan. I think i need some kind of temperature graph tracking and some kind of software for overlocking. Thanks if anyone answers.

No software needed for the OCing itself -- just change the settings in the BIOS. The OC forum has lots of good OCing guides among the forum stickies -- good luck!

There is no guide for my CPU and i heard that you can burn your Processor if you Overlock via BIOS, not the software. Too i need something software that graphs temperature, can't find any in the google.

You didn't look hard enough -- the A64 guide is for you.
You heard wrong - you can burn your CPU both ways, and the software way usually doesn't even work stably.
Everest may graph temps, but strictly speaking you don't need a graph, you can just watch temp readouts.

Thanks, i'll try that. By the way, max FBS is what? Like 200, 300, 1000, 50... I mean Mhz which you add to the default Ghzs. I mean from what numbers high risk to burn your CPU?

There is no max FSB speed. The higher the CPU voltage and the higher the CPU internal temp, the faster damage happens.

Nothing right now, because i need another cooler for video card and CPU right now, because GPU's being overheated when i'm playing some heavy games. Coolers price is not from low ones so i need to think if it's wort it. And i hope to add like 1-1.2ghz if i do it.
