Hi,
I have an old HP Spectre laptop running Windows 10 and I want to disable the faulty touchpad on it and use an external mouse . but the problem is It keeps reinstalling itself every startup .. I tried , but after restarts it auto installs/enables it again. I even tried deleting the driver altogether , but the system knows it is missing and reinstalls it again. and for some reason the "disable" option is greyed out. I can only delete the driver but Windows just puts it back on restart.
The BIOS has no option to disable the touchpad either.
So how can I permanently disable it without having to open the laptop and unplug the wire ?
