I have a program that is set to run at startup on my computer and I get this same message every time I start up no matter what I try to do to get rid of it. The message says:
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Open File - Security Warning
The publisher could not be verified. Are you sure you want to run this software?
(Then it has a box I can choose to un-tick saying) Always ask before opening this file
(Then there is a little red shield with an X at bottom left of the window and to the right of it is all this writing) This file does not have a valid signature that verifies its publisher. You should only run software from publishers you trust. (The last sentence is in blue text with a link to a useless windows help and support page) How Can I decide what software to run?
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I have tried everything to get rid of it. Unticking the box (But it never seems to remember I did that the next time I boot up), setting to always run as administrator, setting the shortcut to run as administrator, giving it full rights in security settings but nothing works. It might be worth noting that I have my computer set to never notify me when programs try to make changes or anything like that but I tried temporarily enabling that and then unticking the box but it still doesn't remember the next time I boot up.
It's not the end of the world if I can't get rid of this message. It would just be nice if I didn't have to deal with pop-ups every time I start up the computer.
