[SOLVED] How to pick a new stick(s) of RAM?

I've never upgraded my RAM before and I have always had 8gb, now I want to upgrade it. Are ram prices cheap right now? If I picked any other ram would it be compatible with the one I already have? What would be the best RAM to buy? Should I just buy another stick of the RAM I already have? Im preferably looking to buy anything under 100$.

Current specs:
i5-8400 cpu
b360m bazooka motherboard
Ballistix Sport 8gb ddr4 2400 MHz
1050 ti 4gb

Make sure to enable XMP in the BIOS so it runs at the correct speed, voltage & timings.

Maybe... Memory is very finicky, sometimes it works fine with mixed kits while other times the system won't even boot. Selling the old stick and buying the kit would be the better way to do it.
