I've never upgraded my RAM before and I have always had 8gb, now I want to upgrade it. Are ram prices cheap right now? If I picked any other ram would it be compatible with the one I already have? What would be the best RAM to buy? Should I just buy another stick of the RAM I already have? Im preferably looking to buy anything under 100$.

Current specs:
i5-8400 cpu
b360m bazooka motherboard
Ballistix Sport 8gb ddr4 2400 MHz
1050 ti 4gb

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Pricing for memory is really good right now, I'd sell your current stick and buy this 2x8gb kit.

Make sure to enable XMP in the BIOS so it runs at the correct speed, voltage & timings.

If I didn't sell my current RAM would the RAM be compatible and just give me 24 GB?
