how to plug asus r9 280 to power supply unit vs 650 with connector?

hello,

i have r9 280 asus graphics card. and i have got connector , i have a confusion coz one connector get connected to graphics card and it has two ends with 6pin . should i connect both to psu 6pin each ?

Your PSU should have two or four spots for GPU power connectors. They will be labeled on the PSU or in the manual. Could you link the PSU I might be able to see if I can get a picture.

Yes, the 280 needs 2 connectors

Do you have the 24 pin connected to the motherboard? What about the 4/8 pin connected to the CPU? Tell me what you have left. To me the pictured looked like that PSU only has one PCIE 6 pin power connector.

So he will need to use molex since his GPU needs a 6 pin + a 8 pin.

Each 6+2 can be used as a 6 pin or an 8pin (that's why 6+2) 😉 use 6 on 1 and the 6+2 on the other connector

He can't use one connecter for two connections. If he uses the one 6+2 for the 8 pin connection he still needs a 6 pin connector.

Look like extensions. What does the other side of the connection look like?

I'm guessing your PSU only has one cable left for you're GPU, which is the 6 + 2 pin connector. The connector you have connects to molex, and are less reliable than the actual connections. So I would recommend a different PSU.

You shouldn't need the cable that comes with the 280 at all, use the Cables direct from the power supply

Basically you're PSU doesn't have enough power connectors for the GPU.

That connector looks like it has two six pins on the back, but would be plugged into a modular PSU. Like I said you're PSU doesn't have enough connections. You need a PSU that has one 6 pin, and one 8 pin or 6 + 2 pin connector.
