How to power on a ASRock H97M Pro4 motherboard for a test outside the box?

Trying to test the motherboard / memory / CPU before installing all into the case.

I've got an Intel motherboard / i3-4330 / G. Skill 1600 8 gigs / XFXTS550 all ready to test.

However just powering on the power supply doesn't power on the motherboard. The manual for the power supply states it's a pull technology and if the motherboard isn't good to go, it won't power on. I've watch Newegg's video on PC building and he shorts the 2 start pins to power it up. Of course mine doesn't have said like 2 pins. I've checked out the ASRock's manual and attempted the same thing with it's 2 start pins with no results. What am I missing?

Thanks.

alexoiu, that did the trick. I was apparently shorting out the wrong 2 pins. Both the motherboard and power supply started right up when the PWR BTN and GRD were shorted. Thank you.
