[SOLVED] How to preserve motherboard

I just received my motherboard and I am planning to keep it in it's box (I opened it btw) until I get the rest of the pc parts (building a pc btw) Gonna take about maybe 2 to 3 months till I get the rest (maybe longer, don't ask why) And I want to know if there is anything I could do to keep it SAFE until I get the rest of the build. Thanks! Also Is there anyway to make sure it's like WORKING? Because I have nothing to test it with.

Just leave it in the antistat bag in the original box. Don't crush the box. Nothing else required.

Nope. That's why buying things separately makes no sense - by the time you will be able to tell if it's ok the board will be long outside of return window, and you effectively are shortening your warranty be few months that way.

Also the bag that the motherboard came in has "ESD" and "Conductive Grid Bag" written on it. That's the antistat bag you're talking about right?
