I've got an MSI Katana GF76 11UE-461XFR, which has an 85W TDP GPU. the thing is, the GPU power will often drop from 80W to around 40W and I can't seem to identify the reason.
I don't think it's thermal throttling since when monitoring the temperatures the power sometimes drop when the GPU is at 60° but sometimes doesn't drop even though the temperatures are higher. Power also tends to drop when the GPU usage goes down, for example when I pause the game I'm playing, and power won't go up until I restart my PC.
As for what I've tried to prevent that, I've enabled Ultimate performance mode in the configuration panel, enabled performance mode in the BIOS and put my fans' speed to high.
