How to print contents in text to word

i need to print out the movie titles in my external hard disk to my word in order to have a list for easy references.

people always say there is no need to use dos, but it would take ages to go through all the files ive got in some folders



open up a comand prompt

(start run, type cmd) or start all programs, accessories comand promt

if your external drive is "D"

type

D: (then enter)

now to navigate to where your films are
to get to mine

cd d:\films\mp4 (hit enter)

now type

dir /B >c:\films.txt

there you go


just open file and copy them into word or leave them alone in that file
