The procedure is identical to printing from a desktop to a printer.

Use the printer CD and install the printer on the laptop. Then connect a USB cable from the laptop to the printer. From the laptop, choose the 'Print' option. Now you will see options for printing to 'One Note' and other devices including the printer you just installed. Select the printer you just installed, and print.

If you are trying to print wirelessly, not all printers have this capability; and some combinations of computer/printer do not work.

We'll need to know more about your network (if you have one). How is the printer connected to your laptop? If it is physically connected (e.g. with a USB cable), you may need to disconnect it BEFORE installing the drivers; the installer will tell you when to plug it it.
