Hi there,
I would like to know how to properly bridge my TP-Link TD W8960N Modem to My Netgear R7000 router. I understand the bridging part and have got that down though I would like to know as there are a few things that were enabled which should be turned off when bridging, like DHCP and Nat which were still enabled when I put it into bridge mode. There are a lot of things Still enabled here, which I am not sure if they should be.
Can someone tell me what should be enabled in the Modem's settings and what should be disabled in order for the TD W8960N to act as the modem and the R7000 to act as the router.
Thanks

Your first router always controls your second router in the link.

The second router should not have Dhcp mode enabled in such a case.
If you wish it to stay in the same IP address pool, and subnet range of your first router.
The firewall of the second router should be disabled if it has one.
Upnp mode should be enabled if the second router has this option.

Any port forwarding if needed should be set up on your first router.

If your doing this to have access to more Ehernet ports or to extend your wireless range around your house with improved signal strength and distance for Wifi.
