I have recently purchased Battlefield 4, when I launch it tells me I should update my drivers to the newest version. At first I ignored it because I didn't think I would get any problems but after my PC started crashing with a BAD_POOL_CALL error while the server I was on switched maps, I decided to update them, but I can't figure out how to do it... I followed the instructions at
http://support.amd.com/en-us/kb-articles/Pages/GPU57RemoveOldGraphicsDrivers.aspx#Win8
and
http://support.amd.com/en-us/kb-articles/Pages/GraphicsDriverInstallationInstructionforMicrosoftWindows7.aspx
step by step... when I use the AMD driver autodetect, it tells me that it is installing version 14.4(14-4-mobility-win7-win8-win8. 1-64-dd-ccc-whql.exe) but when it finishes and I go to device manager > display adapters > AMD radeon HD 7900 series > properties > driver, windows tells me that my driver version is still the outdated 9.2.0.0, and battlefield still tells me that my driver version isn't right, and I still crash from a BAD_POOL_CALL error when switching maps... what am I doing wrong? How do I get the right driver version installed on to my PC?
