How to properly set up my graphic card options

hey guys i bought a hd6850 1gb card, upgraded from a 4850. I downloaded the drivers and installed, everything works. My question is in the ati catalyst there's so many options to set your card up. How em i suppose to have my card set up especially for gaming?

I just tick all of the "use application settings". Your graphic settings in the game takes over on how much detail on the graphics.
