Hi to all,
I need some help with setting up the temperature curves of the fans in SpeedFan!
Please help me!
Thanks in advance!
Best regards!

Solution
experiment, it's a balance between fan speed and it's ability to remove heat and the amount of heat generated, there are many variables. Start from 100% at all temps and slowly reduce the % at the lower temperature range until the fan speed doesn't manage the temp.
Dear 13thmonkey,thank you for replying to me!
I need help for how do it!And I have set the CPU and GPU fan control speed to MAX of speeds.
The fans now, work noisy for 3-4 seconds ,and then turn off,I mean they turn on periodically, work very short at max speed and then turn off!
Is this OK,and could this damage the fans or some other part of the laptop's hardware?
Please tell me!
Best regards!

Don´t use speedfan.
If the system is correctly installed, the fan curve will be managed from the components which need cooling.

Why do you wanna use speedfan? Too noisy fans? Too hot components?
Most notebook fans spin up while heat is up and lower down/dont´t spin after the heat is gone to a specific degree. And so on. Nothing to worry about if the heat is under control.

Which laptop is it? brand and exact model nummber please

It is Dell Inspiron 3537,and the fans are blowing hot air, while am not working on it,and the CPU and the GPU overheat!
The laptop's fans have been cleaned from dust, the thermal paste of the CPU and the GPU repasted,so I would only like to know how can I solve the overheating problem with a proper adjustment of SpeedFan!
So please tell me how to adjust it properly! Please!
Please tell me how to set up the temperatures curves!
Best regards!

The laptop is Dell Inspiron 3537-1518. The CPU and the GPU reach more than 70 degrees Celsius, while I am not working anything heavy on the laptop(only web-surfing,or listening to music ).
If I use SpeedFan, these temperatures go to 45-46 degrees Celsius, the fans work noisy and blow out hot air for 3-4 seconds and then turn off, after normalizing the temps, this is only if the CPU and GPU start to overheat!
So that is the reason I would like to use SpeedFan,I only want to know how to adjust it for regulating the temps!
So please tell me how to configure it!

Dear 13thmonkey,I read the instructions, but I need help for configuring the speed of the fans and the time they are working for, because the fans work for 3-4 seconds very fast at 100 %,and then turn off. This repeats after the CPU and GPU overheat.
I want to make the fans work longer and automatically change the speed, not to work 100% every time they turn on!

I believe that speedfan is not doing the controlling, bios is doing the controlling and is doing what it can to maintain a working temp.

You need to show us pictures of each speedfan screen to do with fans (and the front screen), from memory there are a few things to have to tick to make it work.

So now we know that speedfan is in control.

So now we set the curve, it seems like the curve you had previously wasn't aggressive enough.

Looking at the curves in your images you are targetting 100% at 60C, your CPU + GPU will reach well in excess of that. So expand the x axis to go up to 90C have 90C as 100%, 80C as 100%, 70C as 90% 60 C as 90% 50C as 80%. If that works and maintains a workable temp then drop all of the %'s by 10%, except 90.

Dear 13thmonkey,I did everything that you told me,and everything is working like a charm now!
Just please explain to me how to drop the other %'s again!
Or there is no need to do anything further after this?
