How to properly update drivers on Lenovo G500?

I was thinking of using software like Advanced System Optimizer for driver updates. What are your thoughts regarding this matter?

Most importantly, do not update any driver if the existing one is working okay. Driver updates are not compulsory!

If you need a newer driver because it fixes a specific problem you're having, or it offers new features you need, download it only from your laptop maker's website. For Lenovo UK, that's here: http://support.lenovo.com/en_GB/

We do not recommend the use of driver-finding software as you've no idea where the drivers are coming from or if they are malware-free.
