How to prove that an ssd hasn't been used?

I am buying an ssd off of someone, they said that it has never been used, but it has no packaging, so i dont know how to verify that, is there a way of checking how much data has been written to it?

Yes, you can check the power-on time and power-on count with simple software, like speccy. though im not 100% sure about total data written to it.

Both Speccy and HwInfo can show you how many times it has been turned on and how long it has been on. HwInfo seems to offer more drive info.
