I just got a Seagate Backup slimplus hard drive. It does not have any password protection on it ?
Does someone know if its there on the programme or install a third party ?
Thanks

a lot of external drives come with encryption software, I'm a fan of seagate drives and their software myself, but for open source (free) encryption software I'd give this a try! https://veracrypt.codeplex.com/ Hope this helps!

Easiest solution is just hide the files or folders with a software that can hide them. I have never been a fan of encryption software, the hassle of trying to recover your files if something goes wrong is not worth the trouble.

I use Wise Folder Hider Pro (https://www.wisecleaner.com/wise-folder-hider-free.html). Just install the software on your computer and hide the files or folders on the external drive. Quick and simple protection solution.
