How to put password on external HDD while living in different country

I have a WD HDD 500GB which I forgot in home and now I'm in another country.
I want 2 put a password on my HDD? Is it possible to lock the HDD through Internet while staying here?
If some1 connect that HardDrive to internet and I lock or password it from Here?

If someone connected the HDD to a system that you could access from afar, you could access and secure the drive as if local. However, as popatim points out, you will need someone to connect the drive to such a system. Doing this still requires a person of trust, as well.
