How to put the Correct position of RAM ?

I have a maximum VI gene and It has Red black , Red black Slot , so for short 2 red and 2 black alternate , where do i put my Ram ? to give it a boost ? on black black or black to red ?

How many ram sticks do you have, and is the mobo dual channel or quad? it will probably say near the sockets DDR3-2 or DDR3-4 or something like that.

Oh sorry forgot to put the details , DDR3 and 4 dimm dual channel i have 2 Kingston hyper X , 4x2 (8gb)

Try consulting the manual. It will tell you which slots must be populated as well as which slots are used for dual channel.

I assume you have 2 identical sticks of RAM, in which case you should put them in the two red slots. If you have 4 identical sticks, it does not matter.
