Question How to quiet out noise at work

Hi,
at work i have serious problems with noise. People talking, music from radio, car drivings...
I am working on pc and need a lot of concentration and all this noise makes me angry and stressful.

Unluckily i cant do a lot about the noise sources.

Is there anything you can advice me ? (I dont like to use ear plugs at work, feel very uncomfortable)

I checked those "active noise cancelling" headsets, they look promising but if they cancel noise by anti-noise, doesnt this lead to more stress for my subconscious in the end ?

Sound perception is very subjective. What might work for me will not work for you. And vice versa.

Do you know anyone with noise canceling headsets? Someone who would let you borrow the headset for a couple of days to test?
