Question How to re-install the latest iOS suitable for an iPad Model A1458 ?

Hello Friends

My uncle has an iPad Model A1458

By a mistake by himself it seems the iPad was "infected". He already changed his Apple ID password in all his devices (same as emails)

By security reasons since that incident He has the iPad turned off. He is concerned if it is turned on again the "bad program" starts do its job again.

He is not sure what is the current iOS. He doesn't remember if he did an upgrade of the iOS itself. Well the hardware is in perfect conditions.

Factory reset, wipes everything bar the OS. Then just update as normal.

I doubt either is “infected” and no. Though it’s difficult to say because you haven’t said why you think it is or how.
