Hello everyone, i'm upgrading my PC and one of the upgrades is a new MoBo.
My Win7 is bound to it and so once i'll have the new one i will have to get a new Win7.
I was thinking about buying a key from kinguin or any of this kind of websites, since they're very cheap.

My question is, once i'll have the key, where do i have to put it? And how do i download Win7?
I've never done this thing before.

P.S: Someone will probably say "just get Win10", i don't wanna risk anything for now (i use my pc for gaming, mainly) and i'm fine with Win7. I'll upgrade to Win10 in the future.

What are you getting? Win 7 or 10?
Win 7 Home Premium is just fine for regular use.
Same with Win 10 Home.

So, if you download the ISO from Microsoft, you then create a bootable DVD or USB for that.
Boot from that device, and install.
During the install, have only the one target drive connected.
As you run the install, it will ask for the license key. It is 5...

Not to be confused with the Product ID.

One last thing, will this Win7 be bound to the Motherboard again?

If you want to do many hardware upgrades you will want the retail version of windows 7 the OEM version is tied to the motherboard it is activated on.
Yes retail is more expensive but it comes with support and the ability to upgrade and number of times without having to buy a new license.
