How To How to REALLY disable Windows Defender (almost) completely!

NOT RECCOMMENDED UNLESS YOU HAVE A GOOD REASON

Not 100% sure if this has already been done here, but here's a quick guide on how to completely shut off windows defender on 10/11, so people in the future can find this on google easier

1. open regedit

2. search for 'Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows Defender'

3. Right click the empty space, select New > DWORD (32-bit) Value

4. Name it to 'DisableAntiSpyware'. Double click it, and set the value data to 1.

This will take effect after you restart.

Alternatively, you can just run: https://www.mediafire.com/file/c468rful21bwyih/Disable_Defender.reg/file (You can check it in notepad, nothing dodgy)

Any tutorial that starts with "open regedit " and no preceding "Export your current Registry settings".... needs to be looked with an evil eye.

Also, why would one disable Windows Defender manually?
