Hello,
My EEE PC (ASUS) both keyboard and mouse is not working. I plugged in a USB mouse and the computer detected it but I could not get it to work. The XP screen comes on when I start the machine but I am not able to do anything as both mouse and keyboard are not working. I have not yet tried a USB keyboard external. Can anyone tell me how to reboot the netbook when both keyboard and mouse are not working

That is exactly what is my position is ??. I was wondering there should be method in one of those F1 keys for the recovery of the system. F2 keys does not help as it directs me to BIOS set up and that is not of great help as I go to only the safe mode and again I could not perform any further operations due to lack of key board keys and mouse. ASUS indicated to press "F9" key while start up for recovery of the system to initiate . I tried that also but it did not work.

Now , I have the only alternative to connect an USB CD drive and reinstal windows XP
