[SOLVED] How to recover data after accidental format ?

Tried to transfer my PS4 data from my external SD drive (WD elements 1 TB) to my PS5. Made a stupid mistake. I accidentally format the drive before I transfered the data to my PS5. Is there anything I can do to recover this?

You can try some of the free data recovery software like Recuva.

In the mean time you should stop using the HDD, the new data might make the deleted data unrecoverable.

If it was a quick format you can recover a lot of that. good luck!

Thanks for your help guys. Gonna try that. Luckily it is not a disaster if it not works, but would be nice.
