How to recover deleted files - SD card

I've deleted around 200 photos off of my camera and im trying to get them back. I downloaded recuva and did the process but the message I got was;

The volume for a file has been externally altered so that the opened file is no longer valid.

Does this mean I cant get them back? I'd appreciate any help with this as I'm really stuck on this one.

Devices typically overwrite deleted/corrupt data (on SD cards) with subsequent usages. If the device happened to write new data to the SD card before you realized that you deleted the files, you wont able to get them back. Although, it couldnt hurt to try Pandora Recovery, and run a deep scan to see what pops up.

Seems that new data were written on top on memory location, meaning THEY'RE lost. THERE is no way to recover them.
