First of all, you dont need to gimp or otherwise downgrade your processor. That is a plain bad and incorrect way of thinking.
Second, there is no "bottleneck" here. Your graphics card is easily far weaker than your processor, however, it is not preventing the processor from operating at its full potential. Therefore it is a weak point, not a bottleneck.

If you play cpu dependent game, you should be good at high resolution (1080)
while you will have to reduce visuals to medium in GPU dependent games to have descent framerates.
