How to reduce input lag?

I just bought a AOC 28" 2868PQU 4k monitor, and while the quality is really good, im not quite happy with the input lag. It did improve after i turned off Overdrive, but i was wandering what else i could do to improve it.

Probably the biggest killer is the monitor input latency. If the monitor is poor in that area, it will always have that latency. Next, higher FPS improves latency, as the time rendering each frame is latency. The game engines also have latency. Downsampling or upsampling also causes latency, so if you aren't using the monitor at its native resolution, latency will increase some.
