Hello there.

I have a Gigabyte Gaming OC RX 5700xt which seems to have a certain design flaw with its junction temp. When gaming, this particular model always wants to spike to upto 110c junc temp at ~50% fan speed and 90c at 75%-100% fan speed, so basically my room becomes a furnace when gaming in any demanding titles..
I have heared about undervolting and tried that out. AMD has this 'one button undervolt' feature which will auto set a new voltage parameter to the GPU, which should reduce the overall temps, but the problem is that upon pressing that button, the custom fan curve is removed so it brings me back the default setting of upto 50% fan speed, which needless to say, isnt enough to cool this particular model. I have no idea why they have locked the fan curve to its stock settings upon undervolting the GPU.. This is mind boggling to me!
I didnt take into account just how much heat i'll feel from this card, as living in the middle east + summer + this card is a few months of sweat mixtape every summer.

The image provided showcases the temp difference between the default fan curve settings (and undervolt fan curve settings) at the top, and my custom fan curve at the bottom. Note that there is no temp difference when exceeding ~80% fan speed so i kept it at that for noise concerns.

What can i do to mitigate the heat output from this card (preferrably without getting much fps loss ofc)?

If it's a known design flaw then most likely not much you can do?

Try using the power slider and lower it to 50% and adjust the fan setting manually raising the power limit until you get it the best you can.

If it's an known design flaw you might just have to live with it or sell the card and tell the next person why your selling it.

Or not if you are that way inclined.
