How to reformat a drive that was in raid 0

Nov 13, 2007
hello. I just got an ssd and I wanted to use my old hard drive that was part of a raid 0 as a backup drive now. when I use disk management there is no option to reformat it, delete it. only thing I can do is initialize the disk but that does not work. can anyone help me? thank you :)
That'll work. If you have this issue in the future, you could also go into the Drive Manager while still in AHCI mode and re-initialize the drive. If any partitions are visible, delete them first.

Unasked-for opinion: Backup is much better than RAID0. RAID0 = high risk of loss. Backup = low risk of loss. My one cent's worth.
