How to reformat a netbook with no cd drive

Can you borrow a DVD drive from a PC? I use one of these to load my netbook

But then I have as spare DVD drive.
Another option would be to set up a USB flash drive with bootable software if your BIOS supports USB boot...

If your netbook's drive has two partitions (the one you're wanting to format plus another one containing the full Windows OS), I imagine you could reinstall Windows from one partition and format the other during installation.

You should have an option to reset the system when you start it, should say something like "To start system recovery hit so and so key".

Yup I have seen some you hit F8 like for Windows options and restore is in that list.

You can also use a flash drive to reinstall the OS

You can format it using a bootable USB flash drive. Make a bootable USB and plug in. You just need to change the boot priority.
