Hi everyone, I recently received an early 2008 iMac from a friend, but its hard drive has been wiped completely blank. So I thought no problem, I'll just reinstall OS X 10.11, but here's the thing: now that Sierra is out, the El Capitan installer is no longer available on the Mac app store. Also, this machine is not capable of running Sierra. How can I install El Capitan onto this Mac? I have a 2011 27" iMac as well as a 2011 MacBook Pro 15", and I was thinking I could make a bootable backup of my MBP (iMac already has Sierra on it) and boot the 2008 machine from that? Not sure if that would work though. What should I do?
