How to reinstall windows

Hi I have windows 7 ultimate 32 bit and I want to install this cd I have windows 7 ultimate 64 bit and do I need to format disk or something or do I just press upgrade and I just need to backup the drivers and a web browser and will the drivers be compatible with 64 bit someone tell me everything I need to do and backup please.

It is hard to upgrade from 32bit to 64bit just like that. You might need to wipe your current install first and then install the new OS and manually install all the drivers and settings.
