How to reload old computer from OEM Win95 CD?

I recently was given an old computer that had originally been preloaded with
Win95. The hard disk had been wiped clean and reformatted. I was also
given the original Win95 CD that it came with, and a Win95 startup floppy.
But I haven't been able to figure out how to reload it with the CD. The
floppy does start the computer, but I haven't been able to get the CD
started.

Is there a write-up somewhere that describes the procedure? Or perhaps
someone can outline it for me.

What happens when you try? Is there a message? Does the CD drive work OK
with other CDs?

If the problem is that the startup floppy does not install the drivers for
the CD drive, then get a utility to create a complete W95 installation CD at
www.bootdisk.com.

Iuse a program called cdrom god v.5.5 to get my cd-rom going when i reformat
and reinstall. its kind of hard to find though. do a search for it at
www.clusty.com
