Annoyingly, whilst moving my monitor the DisplayPort cable bent and the casing broke away from the input. Is there a way of removing the cable from the monitor without using the pressure point on the casing?

Thanks in advance!

Solution
I am guessing that the locking mechanism is still intact. This is going to be a challenge. You need to push down the metal tabs (lock) before you can pull out the connector. I fixed two systems that had this problem, and in both cases, I ended up dismantling them (laptop and video card) to get to the connector from the other side.

Can you reach inside with any tool (screwdriver, tweezers, etc.)?
