How to remove ethernet box

Hey, I was just wondering on how to remove this ethernet box I had in my room 3 years ago.

I suppose u can always just cut the cable and cover the hole with an appropriate sized blank plate.

Disconnect from the modem/router (source) and then clip the wires.

The ethernet is no longer connected to this connection since I use cable now. is there a way to remove the wires without cutting them?

OK, I guess I don't understand what is your end goal. What's wrong with cutting?

Is this in a residence that you personally own?
What is the need for removing it?

Look at sides or under the box, there is likely a few smal cuttings where you can insert a screwdriver to release the top.

Or screw it back to the wall and ignore it
Or make it work, and use it.
