How to remove expand arrows in word file menu

In order to see all of the options when I click on File, Edit, View Insert, Format, Tools, Table, Window, or Help in my Windows XP Microsoft Word I must again click on the little double down arrows. When I click on the little double down arrows the all of the options are then available. I have to do this EVERY time.

How to I permanently configure Word so that all the available options in File, Edit, etc are open and visible without having to click on little double down arrows?

Place the cursor on a toolbar. Right-click the mouse, select customize. Go to the Options tab, select the box for "Always show full menus, " and press the "Close" button.
