I have an old powersupply in my PC (the MS-Tech n550watt) and i switched to the Corsair 750w, problem is i cant get the mstech removed. It managed to remove every cable inside the case but theres 3 thick black cables and 3/4 shorter cables going from the power supply under the case and then a bit above reappearing inside the case going to the frontend of the case (where the on/off button is together with 1 usb 2.0 port and some audiojacks) and it seems to be stuck at that frontend and i cant seem to pull them out (without damaging anything i hope)

Any solution??

they have run the cables behind the mobo. either the back panel comes off which will give access to these cables or the mobo is on a mount and it has to be removed. without the specific pc model can't be 100% sure. either way sounds like your going to have to tear down the pc completely to get all the cables out

I succesfully removed the frontpanel and installed the new power supply, now the other problem is when i bootup my pc its about to boot up (the fans go spinning, no beeps yet, the frontpanel LEDs go on) but then it instantly shuts down and it loops this sequence the whole time until i eventually turn off the power. As far as i know i've inserted every cable and cord into the motherboard/etc.

If theres no solution for that issue il take it to a local IT specialist this friday :/

that sounds like what happens when the ram is not in completely. check that the sticks are sated totally in their slot and that every plug is connected tightly. sounds like the system is shorting out which happens when something is loose or can also happen if the motherboard is shorting against the case.

this can be a pain but did you remove the motherboard during this psu swap? i have seen many motherboards short against the case after removing it. you should be able to take it out of the case and set it on some cardboard or something with the power still plugged in. will it power up now? if so, check all the offsets and carefully put the mobo back in the case and see if it will still power up. this happens sometimes and needs to be reset in the case and then it'll work.

while your there check all the other ends of connections. a loose power cable on the hdd or dvd drive can also short the system and stop the psu from running.

I havent touched the mobo :/

ok so without being there to touch everything myself i can't see what the issue is now.

at this point i will have to reccomend you take it to your local it guy to check out. whatever is going on with it is subtle and it's hard to find those issues in person and almost impossible over the web.

good luck
