Hello

Assuming the following:
  • Opera bookmarks can be stored in Opera accounts.
  • Whenever anyone log in his Opera account for example in a Windows desktop computer, Opera will automatically display the bookmarks of that account.
  • In case the user loggs off his Opera account in the Windows desktop computer, and then clears all Opera browsing data by selecting all checkboxes in the advance tab, it seems bookmarks do NOT get removed.
Therefore, whenver Opera gets run again in this computer, bookmarks will still be public even without logging in the Opera account of the user.

Then, considering how could the Opera bookmarks in a Windows desktop computer get removed of the Opera installation within Windows in order to preserve the privacy of the bookmarks of the user's Opera account?

Thanks in advance.

How to remove bookmarks in Opera:

https://www.lifewire.com/how-to-delete-bookmarks-4692476 (Opera is near the bottom.)

Also:

Opera's website:

https://www.opera.com/features/bookmarks

However, if the bookmarks remain visible to other Windows User accounts then I would take a closer look at the account settings for those users. Each user should have an account set up that is not visible to other users and the bookmarks should be saved/stored to a folder in that account.

Thanks.
I think I might not have typed my question correctly. I will rephrase my question:

1. Why isn't there a checkbox to include bookmarks in the data I can clear by means of "Ctrl+shift+del"?

2. Is there a quick way with just one click to clean absolutely everything including bookmarks?

3. Or even better, is there a quick way so that everything, including bookmarks, gets cleared automatically, right after logging off the Opera user?

Thanks in advance.

Because bookmarks are links you want to save not just temporary data you collect over time while using the computer.
