How to remove side panel of ThermalTake Versa h25

I'm having lots of trouble with my case the Thermal Take Versa h25. I removed the thumbscrews but it still won't come off no matter how much force I apply to it. Any help?

The case's side panel is designed to come off by sliding the panel on any plane towards the back of the chassis. If you can't get it off then it's either being down wrong or the chassis has suffered damage to an edge or the end of a chassis preventing you from opening it.

Although a different chassis, it should open similarly; here.
